Your Breastfeeding Specialist
Krista’s passion for birth began in her first year of college when one of her massage therapy professors shared the documentary The Business of Being Born. Her interest in birth continued to grow from that point forward but it wasn’t until 2018, when she excitedly discovered she was pregnant, that she began to explore her birth options more extensively.
When the time came for Krista to choose a birth team, she soon realized how important it was to hire a doula. Through many interviews and consultations, she developed the birth team that would guide her through pregnancy and labor. In March 2019, Krista found herself in labor, 4 weeks early. Through a few hurdles and with the help of her incredible birth team, Krista and her husband welcomed their first child, Eva Jade, into the world.
Krista’s birth experience ignited a fire in her that she had never experienced before. She became a breastmilk donor and began providing lactation support to women throughout Monroe County. But the calling to birth work was relentless. She knew she could no longer ignore her calling as a doula any longer and immediately began her training with The Happy Mama Place in Plains, Pennsylvania.
